You haven’t felt like yourself in a while. You used to be happy, upbeat, and a go-getter. Now, you are dragging yourself out of bed to get to work. You feel down most days and can’t seem to get out of the “funk.” 

Your friends have made comments that you’ve changed, that they don’t hear from you or see you as much as they used to. You try to be engaging at work or social gatherings, but underneath your smile, you feel unhappy. 

You do your best to keep your true feelings hidden. You are afraid that others won’t understand because you seem so put together. You’ve tried to “fake it until you make it,” but some days it seems unbearable so you decide to stay at home.

Life feels boring and unenthusiastic. You feel like you are going through the motions – not really feeling present or finding joy in much of anything.
